چکیده

We present the design of an ultra-low power, wireless pressure/temperature sensing device for continuous intraocular pressure monitoring. The device is wirelessly powered and demonstrates a power consumption of 2.3 W at 1.5 V during continuous monitoring. The chip converts both capacitance and temperature to frequency using a time-interleaved relaxation oscillator, which modulates RF backscatter to a reader for computation of measured samples. A significant reduction in power consumption results from the elimination of the digitization circuitry, timemultiplexed operation, and moving the signal processing burden to the external reader using analog IF-modulated backscatter. The chip exhibits measured capacitance and temperature standard deviations of 1.4 fF and 0.4 C, respectively.

Pressure effects on Ca60Al40 metallic glass superconductors

Theoretical computation of the pressure dependence superconducting state parameters of binary Ca60Al40 is reported using model potential formalism. Explicit expressions have been derived for the volume dependence of the electron–phonon coupling strength λ and the Coulomb pseudopotential μ* considering the variation of Fermi momentum KF and Debye temperature ӨD with volume. Well known Ashcroft’s...

Wearable smart sensor systems integrated on soft contact lenses for wireless ocular diagnostics

Wearable contact lenses which can monitor physiological parameters have attracted substantial interests due to the capability of direct detection of biomarkers contained in body fluids. However, previously reported contact lens sensors can only monitor a single analyte at a time. Furthermore, such ocular contact lenses generally obstruct the field of vision of the subject. Here, we developed a ...

Evaluation of the diurnal intraocular pressure fluctuations and blood pressure under dehydration due to fasting

Introduction: This study aimed to investigate the diurnal intraocular pressure fluctuations under dehydration conditions and the relationship between the intraocular pressure fluctuations and blood pressure. Methods: The intraocular pressures (IOP), body weights, as well as systolic and diastolic blood pressures (SBP, DBP) of 36 fasting healthy volunteers were recorded at 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m...

BACKGROUND Our aim was to determine if there is a correlation between corneal biomechanical properties, endothelial cell count, and corneal pachymetry in healthy corneas. MATERIAL/METHODS Ninety-two eyes of all subjects underwent complete ocular examination, including intraocular pressure measurement by Goldmann applanation tonometer, objective refraction, and slit-lamp biomicroscopy. Topogra...
